• 3.0 out of 5 stars from Sealed Fate -- It is "ok", not essential : I was expecting a much more visual and colorful presentation, filled to the gills with "eye candy" as it were, of this iconic classic. Nope. The layout is pretty drab and uninspired, in my opinion.The book is formatted rather small, so the print isn't very large which made it harder for these old eyes to see and read. NO color anywhere in the book excepting for the front cover. There weren't many black and white photos or stills for that matter, either. Last,and most importantly, I didn't find the book very comprehensive nor engaging. Wasn't "bad", but didn't really impress me much either. I admit going into this with some assumptions, but i'm just not that impressed. I regret the purchase ( Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2017 )

If you, as well, are a Jawsophile (like that word?), with an inclination towards knowing how movies are made, this book is a must.Everything in it has been covered before in different sources, but it's all here, in one volume, at a very reasonable price. I felt like this book wasn't quite finished as it would have been nice to see the sequels get as much attentions as the first film which has had many books written about it. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Rewind -- Like a Magazine Version of the JAWS LOG... : Came across this as a fluke while browsing on Amazon-- was thrilled to find another "JAWS" item,and ordered right away. Lots of good stories in this one, and ample space is given to the sequels (and ones that never came to be). The fun parts were the interviews with the "lesser-knowns" who played parts in these films (in front of or behind the cameras). This is a quick read; not a technical or scholarly work (as some of these books are)... Instead, its engrossing yet lightweight. Highly recommended for fans!! I did not learn a lot of new things about Jaws but did learn a lot about the sequals and rip-offs that were interesting. This book pointed out the original direction of Jaws 2 and I thought it was interesting enough to read the novelization of the original script; which would have made a much better movie. The interview with John Hancock and Dorothy Tristan was very open and shed some lights on the politics involved in the making of the Jaws2.
